This is pure counting stats and obviously isn’t all that huge in the big picture for many reasons, BUT,
Dario Saric is currently on pace to be the first rookie EVER with 1000+ points, 500+ rebounds and 100+ threes. You can add 150+ assists, but he’s already unique without it (and it’s even possible he’ll get to 200 assists). There are
2 rookies (Battier and Francis) that have managed 900/400/90/150, but neither managed to get over 500 rebounds.
Now obviously durability has a lot to do with this, and of course bigs that were capable of rebounding weren’t shooting threes all that much 10+ years ago, but given the fact that he’s only playing ~26 minutes per game, this is truly a remarkable accomplishment.
This is how unique Dario truly is. and if you think he’s only capable of this because he’s an "older rookie". This is the list of "22 and under" players with 1000/500/150/100.
Lebron x2
Durant x2
Nowitzki x2
George
Kidd
McGrady
That’s a hell of a list… (Add Francis and Pierce if you round out to "up to 23" and another season for each of the Lebron/Durant/Dirk trio)
Now, Dario isn’t there yet but he only needs 4 threes, 46 rebounds and 76 points to get there. Assuming health and no rest, he should get to this milestone within the next few games at the rate at which he’s been playing."
