Coach Brett Brown said he sees "a bull in a china shop" with Dario Saric.
"He reminds me emotionally of Manu [Ginobili] when Manu first came to the NBA, where he's all balled up," Brown said. "You can just feel it, and I know him well enough to know that, when he wants to knock somebody's teeth in." Brown also said Saric isn't an A-plus athlete, but loves his intelligence and "the evolution of his shot." Saric has played almost exclusively at the four in his career, so he might have to start out behind Ben Simmons. He's looked like a nice play-maker for Croatia this summer.
"I went from wanting to trade him on the spot to wanting to cook breakfast for him tomorrow morning. When I talk to him and say Manu, he goes, `This is what I do.' That's what he's going to tell me. I stopped coaching him a long time ago."
