After spending a lot of time on the bench lately, Jurica Zuza came up big to lead Panathinaikos to a 14-1 mark atop the Greek League with an 89-67 blowout home win over Iraklion. The Croatian power forward was the key player for the Greens to beat his former team and extend a home winning streak to 8-0. Zuza scored 13 points in 19 minutes, making 4 of 5 two-point shots, 1 of 2 threes and 2 of 2 free throws. He also collected 5 rebounds and a steal. At the beginning of the game, Iraklion caused some problems to Panathinaikos and took a six-point lead, 18-24. Panathinaikos retook the lead, 26-28, after 14 minutes and Zeljko Obradovic called Zuza from the bench. Despite his limited playing time so far, Zuza helped extend the lead from that point and secure the victory for the Greens. Ibrahim Kutluay was the best scorer of the defending Euroleague Champions with 17 points. Jaka Lakovic added 14 points and 8 assists, Darryl Middleton 15 points and Rodney Buford 12 points. Panathinaikos played without Arriel McDonald, Giorgos Kalaitzis, Giorgos Balogiannis and Antonis Fotsis, who all are injured
