Eric Gordon has yet to play a single minute this NBA season and many experts think the cause is more with the Hornets matching his offer sheet over the off-season than his apparent knee injury, but in any case, Gordon will become trade eligible on December 15 and many basketball experts have predicted a likely move in the near future.
Chicago is one team that could use a scoring threat like the young shooting guard and one of the few teams in the league with the resources to make a deal with New Orleans. Bleacher Report writer Kelly Scaletta has suggested a couple different ways the Bulls could acquire the 23-year-old with a straight up deal for Luol Deng making the most sense.
Gordon has averaged over 18 points per game in his five years in the NBA and is one of the top young players in the league, but he wants out of New Orleans and has shown he would rather sit out then play with the Hornets and that will likely force a deal before the trade deadline.
Chicago is surprisingly on top of their division, even without the services of Derrick Rose and a deal like this would just make this team stronger and a real threat to win a title once their All-Star point guard returns from injury.
