Sime Vrsaljko seems to have already made an impact in the Serie A since arriving at Genoa this summer.

The former Dinamo Zagreb player has positively impressed the media and fans during his performances in the first few matches of the season.

Vrsaljko arrived at Genoa last July from the Croatian outfit for a supposed fee of 4 million euros.

Inter Milan had been monitoring Vrsaljko during the past January transfer market, and tried to strike a deal with Dinamo Zagreb to acquire both the fullback and Mateo Kovacic, but only reached an agreement for the latter, as the asking price for Vrsaljko, at the time, was of 8 million euros.

Inter seems to have renewed their interest in Vrsaljko and have observed the player's games closely. The Neroazzurri scouts were present at the Genova derby between Sampdoria and Genoa last Sunday.

Mazzarri supposedly has asked the Milan-based club to buy a player with Vrsaljko's characteristics during the next winter transfer session and it is said that Preziosi could consider selling the player for around 5.5 million euros.
