Senior football It's actually the most serious step you can take in football. When the Arsenal bid came, I did not feel ready for it. I also had family responsibilities, my children were very small and although I went to London even though it was a difficult decision I had to say no. When the club owner came to me and said that he would make me really important in this country, I was on the verge of changing my decision, but eventually I decided to stay.

Now Legia is completely different story. Some time ago, one of the American portals wrote that at home I had done everything I had done, almost fulfilled every role except the most important one. I felt that I needed another step, and if you feel inside, then you know what to do. When I met your president I was sure. There were actually some proposals from other clubs, but Legia was the biggest of them.

You are famous for your hard hand.

I think I'm a man with whom you can get along. I respect the arguments of others and their point of view, but only if they give me facts. On the other hand, when someone gives only his opinion, then I am not satisfied with it. I want to discuss only facts. I rely solely on them and science. It is true that if I have to decide I can stamp my foot. You will find, however, that I am an open and sincere person. I do not hide that I have the personality of the leader, that's something I got in advance and I'm glad of it.

In Warsaw we heard a lot about Dinama. What do you know about Legia?

Obviously I learned a lot about Legia, of course not as much as I would like. I have heard a lot about your fans, we also have so fanatical and even fanatical fans in Croatia - the Bad Blue Boys - who support their club tremendously. When I heard about Legia fans, I think they are at the highest possible level. I hope they will be as good as before. As Boca Juniors fans are the twelfth player, let the fans of Legia be even thirteenth. We will need them very much. Let them be as close as possible to the team. I know that as a club you had your ups and downs. Now the club has been eliminated from European competitions, which is not good for such a big team. But my head is in it to change.

Which Legion matches did you watch, what can you say about team style and what should be changed in the team game?

I saw some video meetings, I did not have much time, but now I want to meet the team as soon as possible. I think I learn quickly, I will try to get as much information as possible as quickly as possible. I have seen the last three matches, together with the team we have to work on the details. But I can say that we will be more and more playing the ball, because Legia deserves to play for the champion and the biggest Polish club fit. This team is also known in Europe, so it has to play so as to enjoy the eyes of the fans and, more importantly, to earn points. We want to play technical, eye-catching, aggressive and winning football.

You said that the most important part of a coach's work is patience. In Legia, however, the most important result is the result. Can you work under such great pressure?

Pressure is my middle name. In Zagreb, Zagreb is something you are born with and live, so I'm 100 percent accustomed to it, it will not affect me. Of course, the players are certainly also accustomed to the pressure. Hard work always pays off. This is something we will be dealing with here. We will give ourselves everything and the results will come. The result is something completely unpredictable and variable - sometimes you work 100% and you lose, sometimes you do not squeeze out of yourself and you are so successful to win. The key here is repetition. If you use it, the result will come by itself. Happiness is also one of the factors, but I do not rely on it as hard as it is and hard work. Of course, we know what is required of us, this thing is mastery and no one is going to turn away from it - I take responsibility for myself on my shoulders. The best team will play at the end and I am sure we will be the best.
