- Pep: Possession is only a means to an end. It’s a tool, not an objective or an end goal. Or, as Pep puts it: ‘If there isn’t a sequence of 15 passes first, it’s impossible to carry out the transition between attack and defence. Impossible. But it’s not possession or one-touch passing that matters, but the intention behind it. The percentage of possession a team has or the number of passes that the group or an individual makes is irrelevant in itself. What’s crucial is the reason they are doing these things, what they’re aiming to achieve and what the team plans to do when they have the ball. That’s what matters!
I loathe all that passing for the sake of it, all that tiquitaca. It’s so much rubbish and has no purpose. You have to pass the ball with a clear intention, with the aim of making it into the opposition’s goal. It’s not about passing for the sake of it.’

potpuno razbijen, do 85. minute kad je Leicester prestao igrat je napravio jednu i pol sansu, ali posjed je bar 80%, a u dodavanjima je pobijedio 5:1. Identitet je sacuvan. Kao sto bi rekao tajnik jedne udruge na drugom kraju kontinenta: idemo iz pobjede u pobjedu!

Samo je zaboravio spomenuti da je njegova uloga u tome minimalna. Da nije imao vrhunske momčadi i suce koji su uvijek bili uz njega kada je to bilo najpotrebnije i nisu sprezali ni pred čim da ga izvuku iz bezizlaznih situacija danas bi bio trener kojeg svi ismijavaju. Kruno Jurčić za europske i svjetske pojmove.
