Nothing annoys Milan fans more than Galliani’s new mantra- “
Unless we sell first, we can’t buy“. This is the main reason why no rumors have materialized yet.
One of the names that Milan are constantly linked to is
Andrea Poli. While the delay in his arrival is constantly blamed on Flamini’s indecisiveness over his future, in reality
Milan and Sampdoria are far from reaching an agreement over Poli.
Garrone recently said that Sampdoria wanted to keep Poli and all dealings with Milan have come to a standstill. The truth is that, Sampdoria value Poli at €6m and would gladly accept €3.5m cash + Co Ownership of one of Salamon,Valoti,Niang or Fossati. Galliani obviously doesn’t agree with those numbers.
Interestingly, Sampdoria also want to sign
Ante Rebic, the young Croatian striker that is setting the U-20 World Cup alight and according to genova24.it, that transfer could be the key to unlocking the Poli deal.
Sampdoria have offered RNK split €2.5m for the young striker however the Croatian team has asked for double that amount.
It’s now being reported that Sampdoria could ask Milan to help out in the deal and buy Rebic together. The striker would move to Sampdoria while Milan would benefit from having a great future talent on a Co-Ownership deal.
In return, Galliani would get a discount on Poli from Sampdoria that could see the midfielder finally arriving at Milanello in time for Pre-Season training.
