Just before the press conference ended however, Jones let his
feelings be known on Rashad Evans’ apparently advantages he gained when
they used to train together.
“I will say this about Rashad, he does not have my number, he’s not
even close to having my number,” Jones said. “Me and Rashad we sparred a
few times, and every time we sparred I know what could have happened.”
Evans has pointed to the fact that he was able to best Jones in
training on more than one occasion, but Jones disagrees and says he’s
living on a single incident that happened one time at fight camp.
“He talks about one day at practice where he held me down, and he
lives that day in his head everyday. So, we’ll see,” Jones stated.
It sounds like Jones and Evans are headed for a collision course of
epic proportions when they finally do meet in the Octagon with the UFC
light heavyweight title on the line.
