David
David, with it looking more and more of a possibility that Ante Tomic comes over to the Jazz, where do things stand with Tibor Pleiss. Would Utah consider bringing over both? What is the relationship like between Tomic and Pleiss?
Raul Neto worked out in Salt Lake City for several weeks last season. Would his coming over be dependent on the the Jazz’s point guard situation (such as a trade), or would he consider coming as a third PG?
David Pick
David,
I think Ante Tomic to the Jazz is more than a “possibility” at this point. I’m not sure what that means re: Tibor Pleiss. I don’t think Utah would risk bringing two overseas rookies the same year, especially when the sole focus is making the playoffs next season. It’s too much of a risk. I haven’t heard anything about Raul Neto, but I’d like to think he would accept third string PG in the NBA. You’re right, though, it boils down to who the Jazz have and what they do this offseason.
