Thank you very much for your reply. Indeed, Marsonia has not made a Cup appearance this season. However, this goal number doesn't give me peace all the time as I found another interview in Croatian with Mario's former coach and again there is mention of 17 goals. I will give the source:
https://www.vecernji.hr/sport/damir-ruhek-moj-mario-moze-sve-pa-i-na-libera-igra-ga-kao-zajec-1162919
Quote: "U sljedećoj sezoni vratio se u Marsoniju i u drugoj ligi postigao 17 pogodaka, te bio drugi strijelac lige, iza Danijela Kuzmanovića iz Cibalije."
In the 2004/05 season, Marsonia played a total of 32 games including the playoffs. I found data on goal scorers from 26 games. I'm only missing 6 games now. Maybe someone would have the ability to find this data somewhere. I will provide a list of the missing matches:
22 . round (28-MAR-2005) Marsonia Slavonski Brod - Valpovka Valpovo 2:0
5 . round play-off (24-APR-2005)Marsonia Slavonski Brod - NK Cakovec 1:1
6 . round play-off (27-APR-2005)Marsonia Slavonski Brod - NK Belišce 2:0
7 . round play-off (30-APR-2005)Marsonia Slavonski Brod - Dilj Vinkovci 2:1
8 . round play-off (7-MAY-2005)SD Metalac Osijek - Marsonia Slavonski Brod 2:4
10 . round play-off (21-MAY-2005)NK Cakovec - Marsonia Slavonski Brod 2:2
In the other games I found Mario scored 7 goals. In the 6 that I provided, Marsonia scored 13 goals. Of which Mario himself scored 7 or 10 goals. That's all I'm missing to close out the entire list. Thank you again for all your help and kindness and I wish you all the best!
I would love to help you, but I must admit this seems a bit too extreme for me :)
Honestly, I would go with 17 goals then. Because of his legendary jersey number it would make sense.
