David
Silva gave Valencia the lead with a superb goal on 30 minutes, but
Didier Drogba gave Chelsea something to work with at the Mestalla when
he equalised in the 53rd.
"It's not a bad result because with a
draw everything is open. We can go to Valencia and get through to the
semi-final," Mourinho said after the game.
"It was a tough game for both teams, and both are very tired now. We attacked a lot and they defended.
"I
believe that they believe they are in better position now, but I think
we can go there and get result. We need to play well, and we know the
atmosphere we will get there. We need a good referee and a result is
possible. It is open now."
Captain John Terry echoed his boss's confidence but acknowledged the task that awaits his side on April 10th.
"They
scored a great goal that caught us off guard, but we've shown before in
the Champions League that we can travel away and get a result in the
second leg.
"We need to be on our game. They are a good side so we need to take the game to them.
"We'll
have to score obviously, and with Didier we're sure we can get goals
away. But we need to keep it tight at the back," he said.
