Our clubs have few chances to pass Euro Cup stages, head coach of Azerbaijan national football team Shahin Diniyev told the APA-Sport Agency.

Diniyev stressing that Khazar-Lenkeran f/c passing next stage in Champions League and Neftchi and MKT-Araz f/c in UEFA Cup will be hard said that improvement is felt in the participation of our clubs in continent matches in comparison with the previous years.
“We do not face any shameful failures as it was in previous years. There is a progress. But there are several shortfalls. It will not be right to appreciate the fate of the team with one match. I think MKT-Araz has chance to pass next stage, as it showed good results in previous matches. But we can not say it about Neftchi. Though Gurban Gurbanov’s team was close to the result 1:1, it missed two goals within last minutes,” he said.
Diniyev also commented on the participation of the footballers of the national team.
“I liked the performance of Zaur Hashimov in MKT-Araz f/c. I could not see the performance of Alexander Chertogano and Ramazan Abbasov as they did not participate in Neftchi f/c. I liked the performance of Branimir Subashich. He played well, but missed one goal in the match. We can not charge footballer for missing one goal,” he said. /APA-Sport/

Nazim Suleymanov: Khazar-Lenkeran has 40% chance to pass next stage

I evaluate Khazar-Lenkeran’s chance 40% for passing Champions League second qualifying match, former head coach of Khazar-Lenkeran Nazim Suleymanov stated that he is satisfied with the match of his former team with Dynamo f/c of Croatia held in Baku in the Champions league first qualifying.

“I watched the match in the stadium and liked it very much. Khazar-Lenkeran demonstrated good results in match with Dynamo. There is not weak team in Champions League, their preparation to the match is weak. I was satisfied with Zaur Ramazanov who scored goal. I regard if the match was held in Lenkeran, Khazar-Lenkeran f/c would have defeated Dynamo,” he said.
Suleymanov said that after the results 1:1 the chances were in the favor of Dynamo.
“Khazar-Lenkeran f/c demonstrated good result in response match. I believe that this f/c will not lose the match,” he said. /APA-Sport/
