You just have to love Wenger. Everyone is going on about Eto'o, Tevez,
Owen, Martins, etc..and he comes out with a Croatian lad.

Good player but can't help being underwhelmed.

34 goals in 32 games this season in the league. that is some record, no matter what country you're playing in.

73 goals in 100 for zagreb
some may rememeber him as the one who lobbed fatty robinson v england with a header

he couldn't have been too expensive as well. I'm guessing under 4 million pounds.

7 in 12 internationals ain't half bad either.

Gotta love the way it came out of nowhere and then bam! its on the official site.

You said it buddy.
As I recall from when we played Zagreb at the start of the season, he
was a quick and tricky striker. Ran Kolo and Djourou ragged at times,
and he put England to the sword didn't he?
Terrific strike rate, so I guess let's just see how he does.

yep..thats the arsenal way...totally anonymous until really signed. And
since he's from croatia i can assume he won't moan about the weather
like our fair weathered reyes and language shouldn't be a problem as we
also have a few portuguese speaking first teamers in our team. I don't
foresee any non football related problems...or i could be wrong...

Definitely, his record can't be argued with and he put in a great
performance against us. He's strong, fast and can find the back of the
net. Good in the air too.
He's used to bad weather so I hope he can produce quickly.

is he the baptista replacement? he looks skillful but i'm underwhelmed
by the fact that he's 24 and only plays for dinamo zagreb (no
disrespect to the club).
then again, i cant really see us going with 5 strikers, or else
bendtners going to have a fit. can this guy play on the wing at all?
Love it how this one slipped under the rader.
