You know, we Italians are very different from you English. It has always been like that, since the 400 years of Roman occupation and domination of the Brutish islands.

We just want another favour: please do not come to Italy for vacations, instead of going to Switzerland and Austria. We do not need you, we do not like you, and we do not want you.

I actually supported italy in the WC final, really hoped they would beat the French and everything, especially as it came down to penalties, knowing they were as hopeless as England. I have also followed an Italian in MotoGP for the last ten years. Why?
Because I believed that the Italian people were warm, enthusiastic, believed in fair play and were generally good people who had a live and let live philosophy to life and appreciated effort and hard work.
It's such a shame to be proven wrong.
