Fans from various internet messageboards are trying to raise money to atleast buy one ticket which could possibly win them a sponsor-free home or away shirt next season.

Pete Clark, a Rovers fan from Redfield is organising this what could be called mission to reach the £1000 + VAT target sum.

“We need to raise the cost of the ticket plus VAT, so we are targeting £1,150 by the deadline of May 27. So far we have nearly £150 in cash and almost another £300 in pledges.”

“There is a lot of support from people who just want to see the team play in the traditional blue and white quarters without any logo, but we need people to put their hands in their pockets.”

Fans can also donate through paypal as Clark also set up this facility where fans can submit donations to [email protected]
Clark also urged donators to submit their contact details so that if they fail to reach the target of £1150, the donation will be refunded to them.

Bristol Rovers are offering participants a limited 100 tickets entry to the lottery and should they have a sell-out, Rovers fans would have 1% of succeeding in their target. Still though, it shows how passionate Rovers fans are about the club’s shirt and that receives a thumbs up!
