Barcelona’s Lionel Messi broke two more records on Tuesday night against AC Milan as he took his season tally to 58 for the season.

  • Messi scored his 13th and 14th Champions League goals of the campaign to set a new competition season scoring record after netting two penalties against AC Milan.

The three-time Balon d’Or winner beat his own previous record that he shared with Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy, who scored 12 with Manchester United in 2003.

Messi, also notched his 50th Champions League goal, becoming the youngest player to reach the landmark as just 24-years-old.
