Off balance, Bayern loses 0:3 in Salzburg friendly
FC Bayern finished its winter break preparations with a 0:3 defeat in a friendly at Red Bull Salzburg, with experiments that didn’t work on the pitch.
We won’t do a full analysis of a friendly match, but here are some observations.
First half
A disorganized defence was late on challenges; Salzburg’s high pressure was troublesome for FCB;
Our of position at right-back, Javi had problems dealing with wingers’ speed;
Shaqiri wasted a great chance near the 30th minute, getting a quick pass from Müller in the box.
Second half
After 10 minutes, Bayern took control of the game with its possession but the best chance was an offside goal by Müller;
As Dante did in the first half, Boateng was late on a challenge, bringing down a player for a penalty.
The spin
Nobody should reach conclusions after this friendly game. I saw no motivation on the pitch today. We’ll see a different Bayern in the Bundesliga against Gladbach.
Goals
0:1 Mane comes forward on the left, shoots low on the right and Neuer doesn’t move (13')
0:2 Dante trips Mane in the area. Soriano puts in the penalty low to the left although Neuer guessed the correct side (21')
0:3 Mane’s cross is deflected from the left and Zulj volleys the bouncing ball to put it in (43')

* * *
Ovo je na dnu pogrešno nacrtano. Od zada tri u liniji, Alaba na krilu, jako visoko. U drugom dijelu se vratilo na četiri od zada.
