Viola Set To Finally Land Jovetic

The Gazzetta dello Sport has reported on Wednesday that Fiorentina target Stevan Jovetic has all but agreed terms with the Serie A side and has passed a medical at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Partizan Belgrade starlet, known as the ‘new Dejan Savicevic’, is now set to sign a long-term deal with the club.
The newspaper also ran a photograph of the hot Montenegrin prospect arriving at Fiorentina HQ to discuss terms this week.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has netted 11 goals in 27 games this term and was being tracked by several Euro giants including Juventus and Real Madrid.
Manchester United, too, were linked with a £7m swoop for the player last year, but La Viola look to have won the race.
However, Jovetic is under contract with Partizan until 2009 and the Tuscan side are said to be relying on Champions League qualification to bolster their summer transfer war-chest.
Unless there are any last gasp snags, Jovetic will take the only remaining non-EU spot in the Gigliati’s squad.
