National football team gets new Macedonian coach
The National Team Management Committee (NTMC) hurriedly filled up the
vacancy of the post of head coach for the national football team after
the sudden departure of Croatian football coach
Robert Rubcic, who left
Bangladesh on June 2 without prior notice to NTMC, two months before
completion of his one-year tenure.
Addressing a press conference at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF)
conference room Tuesday, the NTMC chairman Badal Roy said they have confirmed the service of Macedonian coach Jovanovski for the national team Monday after being assured of not getting the service of coach Rubcic.
He
said they have tried a lot to reach Rubcic through telephone, e-mail
and by agent but failed to get any response from the other side, NTMC
chairman Badal Roy said.
Rubcic, who was appointed September last
year, has left his four-month's remuneration of U$ 18,000 which the
NTMC failed to send him as he did not give us any way of sending his
salary or even any
bank account number, he added.
Badal
said: "As a coach Rubcic is very gentle by nature and relation with BFF
was very good, but it is really indecent manner from his side as he is
not replying our queries."
The NTMC said that whatever the
problems happened with Rubcic can be solved through negotiation with the
NTMC, but "he should not have left the country without assigning any
reason."
Replying to a question, Badal said they would inform FIFA of Rubcic's abrupt departure from Bangladesh.
