Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara has underlined his ambitions for the season, and the Champions League has taken priority over the Scudetto.
The club have spent heavily in the transfer market with European glory in mind. Juve have not won the trophy since 1996, and they were runners-up in 1997, 1998 and 2003. Having won so many domestic titles over the years, Ferrara believes it's time to win on the continent.
"Scudetto or the Champions League? Juventus have to play for both until the end.
As a player I liked winning the Scudetto, but I know the fans really want the Champions League as they have won 29 Scudetti," Ferrara told Tuttosport.
An away day in Rome awaits the coach and his men on Sunday, and having started off well last week against Chievo, the former defender hopes to continue.
"I know about the Milan derby, but I am only thinking about Roma," added Ferrara.
"Teams have strengthened well and they have Scudetto aims, but all those who finished behind Inter last year know they have to chase them."
