LONDON (Reuters) - Ireland international midfielder Kevin Kilbane, Wales forward David Cotterill and Bulgarian midfielder Svetoslav Todorov all joined Premier League Wigan Athletic on transfer deadline day on Thursday.
Kilbane, the 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international, became Wigan's ninth signing since the end of last season, while Cotterill, 18, became Wigan's tenth signing less than two hours before the window closed.
Wigan paid Bristol City a reported 2.0 million pounds for his signature.
Todorov became their 11th signing of the summer just 12 minutes before the deadline expired. He joined on a season-long loan deal from Portsmouth.
The trio join Emile Heskey, Fitz Hall, Emmerson Boyce, Denny Landzaat, Chris Kirkland, Antonio Valencia, Tomasz Cywka and Andrew Webster at the JJB Stadium.
"He (Kilbane) is another quality acquisition for us, a highly experienced player who has seen it all at Premiership level," said Wigan manager Paul Jewell.
Jewell told the club's internet site they had been monitoring Cotterill for some time.
"I think David has the potential to make the grade in the Premiership," Jewell said.
Kilbane, who has also played for Preston, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland, will begin his Wigan career facing a suspension after being sent off in his last match for Everton against Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday.
While Kilbane was arriving at Wigan, French defender Pascal Chimbonda was on his way out of the club after Wigan and Spurs agreed an undisclosed fee for his transfer.
Greek international Angelos Charisteas agreed to join Feyenoord on a three-year deal Thursday evening. The 26-year-old forward’s arrival ends the club’s quest for a replacement for Dirk Kuyt, who left for Liverpool days before the season got underway. Charisteas became the day’s second new signing for Feyenoord, together with Danny Buys. The club also signed Dwight Tiendalli and Philippe Léonard last week.
STRIKER ANGELOS CHARISTEAS JOINS FEYENOORD
Charisteas was part of the successful Greek team that became European champions in 2004, scoring the winner in the final against host Portugal. ‘He is strong on the ball and with his head; he knows what is expected of him. We can benefit from that,’ said Erwin Koeman. ‘He is also within our budget and Angelos has always said he’d love to come to Feyenoord. We also find it important that he is highly motivated. From the very first contact he was enthusiastic and that feeling has only intensified during the past few days.’
Coach Erwin Koeman showed his delight with the signing. ‘I have always urged the arrival of a striker; it was important for me because we have missed out on a lot of goals and assists due to the departure of Dirk and Salomon and Romeo’s injury. We have a very young team without too much experience and we needed players with body and experience. With the arrival of Danny and Angelos and also Philippe we have addressed that well. I am very happy with that.’
Technical manager Peter Bosz expressed delight that the club’s quest has been completed. ‘We are happy with the arrival of Angelos and Danny. There has been an unbelievable amount of speculation these past weeks about the arrival of the most varied players. Every striker or defensive midfielder who was free or wanted to leave his club has been linked with Feyenoord. I often had to smile, because there was no contact with most of the players. Angelos is familiar with the Dutch league, knows how we play and what we expect from him. That’s why he fits in well and we at Feyenoord felt that Angelos is the right solution at this time. Of course, it’s not easy to be the successor to Dirk Kuyt, but Angelos is experienced enough to understand that. He is a down-to-earth lad, ambitious too. He is a fighter with ambition and that is a good match with us. He is a good player, that’s what he is judged on and that was the only reason for bringing him to Rotterdam.’
At the moment Angelos Charisteas is with the Greek national team ahead of Saturday’s Euro 2008 qualifying opener in Moldova and will not arrive in Rotterdam until 7 September.
The transfer fee will remain undisclosed.

Inamoto arrived to Istanbul by British Airways Flight 678 at 12.55 p.m. in order to make transfer meetings with Galatasaray. He was examined at Acýbadem Carousel Hospital.
