Fenerbahçe striker Mateja Kezman is suspended for two Turkish Super Ligi games as a result for getting a red card in last weekend’s league game against Gençlerbirligi. The Serbian striker was sent off the field and now banned for two league matches because he insulted the referee, according to an official statement from the Turkish FA.
Also a suspension at European level
Kezman is forced to be a spectator during the league games against Rizespor and Sakaryaspor. The 27-year old attacker will also miss the first game of the third round in the UEFA Cup. Kezman received an automatically one game ban for this European campaign, because the Serb received twice a yellow card during the four games group stage, earlier on. Fenerbahçe will face AZ Alkmaar from The Netherlands, the last country where ‘Kezza’ made real impression on the pitch
