The
pots for Friday's UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off draw
have been announced, with Sweden, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic,
Romania, Italy, Croatia and Scotland placed in Bowl A and Greece,
Switzerland, Ukraine, Spain, England, Belarus and Iceland making up Bowl
B.
The qualifying group phase concluded on Tuesday night when the
eight remaining play-off places were decided, and attention now turns
to Friday's draw which takes place at 12.30CET in Herning, Denmark.
The two-legged ties will be played between 9 and 13 October with the
seven winners joining hosts Denmark at the final tournament next June.
The
seven group winners with the best coefficients on the basis of results
achieved in qualifying for the 2009 and 2011 UEFA European U21
Championships are seeded for the draw. Winners and runners-up from the
same group cannot be drawn against each other according to the regulations.
