Evo ukratko o svim utakmica ovog vikenda... poželjno je znanje engleskoga

Everton v Aston Villa (Saturday, 12.45pm)

Everton are making a late push for Europe after finally showing some of the form that led them to a top-four finish last season. David Moyes' men endured a torrid start to this campaign, culminating in a 4-0 Boxing Day defeat at Villa Park which left them hovering above the relegation zone. But they have lost just three times since then to move up to 11th in the table. Villa's recent form has been patchy, with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their last six games, but they have a respectable record at Goodison Park, where they have won four and drawn four of the sides' 13 Premiership encounters.

Arsenal v Charlton Athletic (Saturday, 3pm)

Arsenal have lost only twice at home all season and are targeting their third consecutive win at Highbury this weekend as they push for a Champions League spot. Arsene Wenger's side beat Charlton 1-0 at The Valley in December, but their strikers will be tested on Saturday against Alan Curbishley's charges, who have shored up at the back in recent weeks with five clean sheets in their last eight games. The Addicks' 4-2 win in November 2001 remains their only Premiership triumph at Highbury.

Blackburn Rovers v Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3pm)

Blackburn are looking to complete a Barclays Premiership double this season over Middlesbrough, having beaten the Teessiders 2-0 at the Riverside in December courtesy of a Shefki Kuqi brace. Mark Hughes' men are dreaming of Champions League football next season and currently lie sixth in the table, while Boro's record of four wins from their last six games has given them breathing space above the relegation zone. Last season, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's hat-trick helped Boro to a 4-0 win at Ewood Park, and they have only lost twice in eight Premiership visits to Rovers.

Bolton Wanderers v Sunderland (Saturday, 3pm)

Bolton's impressive record at the Reebok Stadium has provided the backbone of their challenge for a Champions League place. The Trotters' sole defeat at home came against Everton in August, while they have only conceded seven times in front of their own fans. Rock-bottom Sunderland have only won twice on their travels all season and go into the game with just one win from their last seven games. However, the Black Cats drew 0-0 with Bolton at the Stadium of Light earlier in the season and have picked up four points from their previous two Premiership visits to the Reebok, including a 2-0 win in 2001.

Manchester City v Wigan Athletic (Saturday, 3pm)

These two north-west rivals produced a seven-goal thriller in the reverse fixture at the JJB Stadium earlier this season, with Wigan coming out on top 4-3. City are looking to bounce back from their late defeat to Portsmouth, while the Latics will be aiming to rediscover their early-season form after recording their first win in six games at Sunderland last Saturday. European football is the goal for both sides, with three points separating eighth-placed Wigan from 10th-placed City.

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United (Saturday, 3pm)

West Brom are fighting to stay above the relegation zone and picked up what could be a vital point at fellow strugglers Birmingham City last weekend. Second-placed United top the form table with five wins from their last six games and will target another three points to move a step closer to securing automatic qualification for the Champions League next season. Sir Alex Ferguson's men have tasted success on both their previous Premiership trips to The Hawthorns - 3-1 in 2002/03 and 3-0 last season.

West Ham United v Portsmouth (Saturday, 3pm)

The 1-1 draw at Fratton Park earlier in the season was the first time these two sides had met in the Premiership. Relegation-threatened Pompey arrive at Upton Park buoyed by their late win over Manchester City last week - a first victory in nine games for the south coast club. The Hammers' six-game unbeaten run came to an end with a 4-1 reverse at Bolton last time out, but they remain well placed to secure European qualification in their first season back in the top flight.

Birmingham City v Tottenham Hotspur (Saturday, 5.15pm)

Birmingham's derby draw against West Brom last week left them facing a battle to avoid the drop, and they welcome a Tottenham side who will be keen to bounce back from their late disappointment at leaders Chelsea. Fourth-placed Spurs overcame Steve Bruce's troops 2-0 at White Hart Lane in December, but the north Londoners have yet to win at St Andrews in three Premiership visits.

Newcastle United v Liverpool (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Newcastle have been revitalised under the stewardship of caretaker boss Glenn Roeder, though their five-game unbeaten run came to an end with a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford last week. The Magpies have not given up on a place in Europe and are boosted by a strong record at St James' Park, where they have only lost twice this season. However, they face an in-form Liverpool side who crushed Fulham 5-1 on Wednesday to stay in touch with second-placed Manchester United. The Reds have won three and drawn four of their 12 Premiership trips to Newcastle, but have not triumphed on Tyneside since 2001.

Fulham v Chelsea (Sunday, 4pm)

Fulham's home form this season has been impressive, with nine wins and two draws from 14 games. They are not yet safe from relegation, however, because of a dismal record away from Craven Cottage - their 5-1 reverse at Anfield on Wednesday means they are still the only Barclays Premiership side without a win on the road this season. Leaders Chelsea have won their last three games, including Saturday's last-gasp defeat of Spurs, and have not lost in four Premiership visits to the home of their west London rivals. Hernan Crespo's 74th-minute strike gave the champions a 3-2 win over Chris Coleman's men at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
