The Estadio Mestalla will witness the most important Valencian derby in
recent history this Sunday, with Los Che and Levante separated by three
points in the midst of a tense battle for Champions League inclusion.
Tactics and Selection
Emery favours 4-2-3-1, with occasional in-game changes to 4-4-2 as the situation demands.
Banega, Canales, Paco Alcacer, and Miguel will all miss the tie
through injury, while Bruno, Jordi Alba and 16 goal top scorer Roberto
Soldado are all suspended. Centre-back Adil Rami may face censure for
missing Tuesday’s training session after attending a charity event in
Lille, and could be dropped for the Levante game as a result.
Levante also favour 4-2-3-1, but with more defensive intent. Juanlu
is fit to make his return to first team duties after a three month
lay-off with a broken fibula. Pedro Botelho and Pedro Lopez are
available after suspension.
