Joachim Low, Germany coach
I wouldn't say we were too lucky with the draw. It's not going to be an easy section, but it's certainly not beyond us. What strikes me is that it's a very balanced group. We're looking forward to the challenge and we know that it's going to be important for our confidence to win our opening match against Australia. Still, it's going to be a tricky one. I shadowed Serbia coach Radomir Antic for a while when he was at Barcelona a few years ago. Serbia were fantastic in qualifying and they have some extremely good players. Ghana are going to very difficult to play against due to their physical strength and in Michael Essien they have a real superstar. I'll have to ring Michael Ballack to get some inside info on Essien. The Ghanaians played well at the 2006 World Cup and they've improved a lot over the past few years. It's going to be difficult, but it's an interesting draw. I don't think we need to fear any of the sides we're up against because we've got a very strong squad ourselves. I'm looking forward to it!

Pim Verbeek, Australia coach
You have to say Germany are the favourites to win the group. They're extremely strong, very experienced and one of the best sides in the world. Nonetheless, we'll be doing everything we can to reach the next round. We did well in 2006, but now we need to concentrate on 2010. The players are four years older now and so they have four years more experience. We played in the Asian qualifying zone and beat some decent sides in spite of some difficult conditions and a lot of travelling. That made us stronger mentally. I don't know too much about the Serbians, but they were better than France in qualifying so they must be pretty good. Ghana are one of the strongest teams in Africa and, if you consider the fact that we are playing in Africa, that makes them a real danger. That'll be a big match for us because, physically, the Ghanaians are just as strong as we are.

Radomir Antic, Serbia coach
Germany are clear favourites in my opinion, but I'm still happy with the draw. It's going to be really interesting because each team has a very different playing style. My team is very young, physically and technically strong and without a doubt the best Serbian team there has ever been. We're a very positive-thinking group and we're always looking to improve. I believe in my players and I'm sure they're going to have a great World Cup. Obviously I know Germany very well, they have lots of young players who have established themselves at club level in recent years. I have a lot of respect for Australia because they're a very competitive nation with a great sporting tradition.

Milovan Rajevic, Ghana coach
I can't say I'm overjoyed by the draw. Germany are a quality team, Serbia too, but I'm convinced we can match them. For me, Germany are the best team in Europe. I'm confident we can make it into the second round.
