Tottenham have announced record financial results for the six months ending 31st December 2008.
White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy has revealed that
Spurs have made increased profits from operations at a record level
following a rise to £42.2million from the £1.8m of 31st December 2007.
Revenue
has risen to £54.9m, while total assets are up by 65 per cent, and the
sales of players before the start of the current season played a part.
Dimitar
Berbatov departed for Manchester United in a £30m deal, and Robbie
Keane left for Liverpool for fee in the region of £20m before returning
to North London in the winter transfer window.
In a statement on Spurs' official website,
Levy said: "In a period of global economic recession this is a
considerable achievement and we acknowledge that both the strength of
our business and the fantastic loyalty shown by our supporters have
helped ensure that these results have not been materially affected.
"We
have benefited from having a robust business that is well financed and
has continued to be able to support investment in the first team."
....ako ništa drugo, barem financijski odlično stojimo! :))
