It wasn't just a bunch of close wins, either. When one of those five elite teams played against some other team, the median outcome was a 10 point win. The average outcome was about a 12 point win. Only two of the eight losses were by more than 4 points. That's dominance, and remarkable for that to be an average outcome among five teams that all played each other.
