Ako ništa, uživaćemo u sjajnim ribama!  Mislim prvenstveno na tamnopute koje su otkid.

P.S. Čija vam je reprezentacija na ovom SP "najugodnija za oči"    ?

Ja glasam za Italiju! Numero Uno!Hug

Evo sta misli Brazilski trener:

Osaka, Japan, November 13, 2006 – Brazilian head coach Ze Roberto is not apparently going to take compliments from other coaches lying down. Russia coach Giovanni Caprara insists that Brazil is the No. 1 women’s team in the world; Ze Roberto doesn’t accept that.
“For me, Russia is,” he said on Monday, a day after winning a showdown of the two remaining unbeaten teams in the World Championship. But, he added, “There are five or six women’s teams on the same level.”
More than likely Ze Roberto doesn’t want to jinx his team. As he points out, there is currently a World Championship going on to decide who is to be the world champion. But he has a lot of respect for Russia.
“I think nobody in the world has three spikers like Russia,” he said in reference to Russian’s big three attackers: Lioubov “Sokolova” Shashkova, Elena Godina and Ekaterina Gamova.
“We beat Russia without Sokolova; it’s not the same,” he added. “Sokolova is the best spiker in the world.”
The Brazilian also admires teams such as China (“I like their setter.”), the Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Cuba, but he seems fairly impressed by his own players.
“All our players have great technique, but also the spirit of this group is very good,” he explains. “They like practicing very much; they enjoy practicing volleyball and being together. This is a very important point and it’s very important in trying to become the champion in this tournament. The mental side of the game is so important, especially when you have to play 11 games in 16 days.
“When you play a good match, you grow, you learn. It’s important for us to learn how to play against the strong teams.”
On that count, Brazil seems to have no problems, having already beaten Russia, China, the United States, Germany and the Netherlands. They must face Serbia and Montenegro in the semifinals on Wednesday and, if they win, Italy or Russia in the final. Although Brazil says a top-four finish was its aim coming into the tournament, that is no longer enough.
“When we arrived, we talked about making it to the last four,” Ze Roberto states. “But it’s important to get a medal here. In fact, it’s important for us, taking into account the history of Brazilian volleyball, to win a championship. We are the second sport in Brazil after football and many people have worked very hard for many years from the junior teams up. It’s important to win for the fans, for everybody.”
Despite being held up as the best, the Brazilian women have never won a World Championship or Olympic title, although they did win last year’s Grand Champions Cup and the last three World Grand Prix titles. A World Championship may be important, but the coach says he doesn’t feel there is undue pressure on the team.
“There’s no pressure. It’s normal for us,” he says. “In Brazil, people like sports. But I take things step by step. You must play better and better in every game to get to the final, but it’s very difficult because there are so many good teams.”
Next up for Brazil is Serbia and Montenegro, a team which, he says, is not so different from Brazil.
“I saw Serbia and Montenegro play last year in Italy and I liked them very much. They are skilful players, they are tall and they play quick balls in all areas. Also, they have good technique in all positions like Brazil. They play different from other European teams. Basically, they play quicker.”
Brazil, of course, is also blessed with many talents and great players.
“We have good balance between the blockers and defense, we have a good counterattack and we don’t make too many mistakes,” Ze Roberto stated. “And we have Fofao.”
“Fofao is the best setter in the world and she is the balance of our team. She is calm, she has good distribution of the ball for everybody, her balls are very consistent and always at the same height. She also worries about the movement of the players and has a good mentality. She is a leader, but not in an aggressive way; she is very soft.”
The Brazilian captain had a minor injury to deal with in the first round, but has made several telling contributions during Brazil’s unbeaten run to the semifinals. At 36, she continues to play with the vitality of some of her younger colleagues. Not surprisingly, her coach hopes she will keep going.
“I think, I hope she will play until the Olympics,” Ze Roberto professed, adding, “Me too.”
In all probability, Brazil’s coach will be around for some time to come.

Mozda nas Uefa 'mrzi' ,ali nas 'CEV' voli

Osaka, Japan, November 13, 2006: The President of the European Volleyball Confederation, Andre Meyer, has offered his congratulations to surprise package Serbia and Montenegro (SCG) for reaching the semi-finals of the women's World Championships.
Ranked 30th in the world and playing in their first World Championships since 1978, SCG won all five matches in the first round and lost just once in four second-round matches to qualify for the last four.
The three other semi-finalists -- Brazil, Russia and Italy -- are ranked second, third and fourth, respectively, by the FIVB, which puts SCG's achievement into perspective.
"Serbia and Montenegro is a newcomer and of course we are very happy about the matches they are playing here," Meyer said in Osaka on Monday afternoon.
"Being among the last four is a top result for the team. We were expecting them to be challenging at the European Championships next year, and nobody could know they would do such a good job at the World Championships."
The President of the Luxembourg-based CEV put SCG's success in Japan down to their work lower down the volleyball ladder.
"They have done a lot of good work, especially in the youth and juniors, and the results here are based on the excellent job done by the federation's youth development activities."
Next up for SCG is Brazil in the semi-finals on Wednesday. The Brazilians are favourites to win their first World Championships gold medal after beating all nine opponents in the first and second rounds, including Russia on Sunday.
But Meyer is not writing off Serbia and Montenegro's chances of beating the reigning World Grand Prix champions and World Grand Champions Cup holders.
"In my opinion they have a chance," he says.
"I think they have nothing to lose. They are assured of fourth place already and this is super for the team. They can play without any complex against Brazil."
The fact that three of the four semi-finalists are from Europe is also a matter of pride for the confederation president.
"It's perfect," he says.
"I am really very happy from the confederation's side because all our eight teams won through to the second round and only two have gone out, Poland and Azerbaijan.
"That means we have six teams in the top 12 in the world."
As well as semi-finalists Russia, Italy and Serbia and Montenegro, Europe's three other teams in the classification matches are Germany, Turkey and the Netherlands.

Osaka, Japan, November 14, 2006: On the eve of their first appearance in the World Championship semi-finals, Serbia and Montenegro's players are just fine.
It's just the head coach that seems to be suffering.
When asked for an injury update on his squad, Zoran Terzic told the official news conference on Tuesday: "All the players are ready for tomorrow -- but only I am a little tired!"
Terzic and his team of underdogs have lost only once in nine outings on their first World Championship appearance since 1978, in the days of the former Yugoslavia.
But they will be up against the gold medal favourites Brazil, who will be trying to win the title for the first time in their history.
"We will be starting the final part of this World Championship tomorrow and it is something very new for my team and for all of us," Terzic said.
"We are playing against a team from the very top of the world so our ambitions are high.
"We have been playing with great motivation, huge desire and with smiles on our faces, and I hope it stays this way and we leave this competition feeling satisfied."
Terzic said he was happy that his team had been compared favourably with Brazil in playing style. "We have some similarities in style, but Brazil does it on the highest possible level and I hope tomorrow we can play very good defence so we can come closer to Brazil. Then we may have a chance."
