Dear Mr. President of the IHF,

thousands of croatian handball fans have expressed their anger to the EHF and IHF about the systematic unfair behaviour of parts of the german national handball delegation,before and shortly after the olympic handball final between germany and croatia in athens.
The datails of our protest have been already brought to you: First,the german handballplayer Florian Kehrmann gave a statement in a very aggressive manner for the german TV-Show "Beckmanns Olympianacht" on friday evening before the final. Millions of german TV-viewers became witnesses of such violent comments like "die kroaten sollen sich warm anziehen" or "wir werden die Kroaten umhauen" (which actually means "we will hunt down the croats and beat them up" (!) ) ). I don`t have to mention,that even the host of the show and the audience in the studio were very embarrassed because of the used cruel vocabulary .
As you know from the TV-evidence taken from the final,we have focused our protest against the cruel behaviour of the player Kehrmann against croatia`s national coach Lino Cervar at the end of the final. I don`t want to repeat our feelings of anger and shame about such an unfair behaviour,because you have already read our mails in the last weeks. I just want to pay your attention to three additional scenes ten seconds before the end of the match.
The croatian player Ivano Balic holds the ball,when a german player (zeitz or kehrmann) rushes towards him in order to beat him down. Ivano Balic plays the ball back to a player of his team,then he gets the ball again. Just at that moment two german players,zeitz and kehrmann, are running together to Balic in order to push him to the ground. A few seconds after the match was finished,one croatian player (dominikovic or the youngster vukovic) is running onto the sports field in order to celebrate with his team,when suddenly on german player comes from behind and pushes the croatian player in his back. This/these incident(s) can also be seen in the TV-evidence.
The latter incident for example occurs immediately before the TV-scene, in which Florian Kehrmann hits the croatian coach. The croatian fans think,that such a scandalous sequence of unfair actions is against the fairplay-spirit of the olympic games and sports in general. A final in the olympic games should be a great celebration of all the positive values in sports. It should be an event of happiness and respect to each other. Therefore,we are very dissapointed about the bahaviour of some members in the german team-especially Florian Kehrmann who evidentally couldn`t control his behaviour before and after the final.
It is also very dissapointing to us that the german media did not condemn, or at least mention, these incidents.
We hope that you will react adequately in the spirit of fairplay to these incidents which really disturbed such a great sports event in athens.
