For his St. John’s talk(Wednesday, November 30, DAC 207, 2 p.m.) professor Bilich has assembled aspectacular collection of photographs, slides and videos. Using architecture asthe common thematic thread, he will talk about the distinct spaces, colors,sounds and even scents of Manhattan!He will reveal to us those special spots in Manhattan from which one can soakin some of the most fantastic visual urban imagery anywhere!
Professor Bilichepitomizes that well-rounded, Renaissance-educated, Old Worldintellectual. He brings to his lectures a unique perspective that is not justmulti-disciplinary, but also multi-aesthetic. Listening to himtalk, one begins to discover the universal language of beauty that is thecommon denominator behind the seemingly disparate genres of architecture,art, photography, music and literature.
