Manacorí tennis player Rafael Nadal is unhurt after suffering a car crash this morning while driving in a Manacor's road. He crashed against a telephone/electric pole

Toni Nadal, coach and uncle of the tennis player, has conifrmed to elmundo.es that his pupil has not suffered any damage in the accident. The crash happened inside the town, when the player was driving around 11am his car to Portocristo. The traffic was paralized to repair the electric pole, said Toni Nadal. The tennis player, 20 years old, has gotten the drivers license recently.

According to Europa Press, the owner of the near house heard the crash and went from the beach to the accident where she found a puzzled Nadal. Then, she offered her house to the player where he drank some drink and the tennis player reocvered few minutes later.

Neighbours had complained before about the bad conditions of the pole and several of them assured that it's easy to suffer an accident in that place, because it's a downhill where the car speeds up and in a few metres there's the electric pole.

Nadal arrived to Mallorca yesterday after losing on Sunday the Wimbledon final against Roger Federer and he had decided to not defent his title of last year in Swedish city of Bastaad to recover energy. Soon the summer circuit in North America will start, with the US OPen and the Master Series of Canada and Cincinnati as important tournaments.
