Monaco, 8th April 2014 –The Organising Committee of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters is pleased to announce the participation of another very distinguished guest.

After two years of absence, the SwissRoger Federer is back on the "Rock" having received the first "Wild Card" by the organizers.

Following an intense Davis cup weekend in Geneva, the man with 17 Grand Slam titles, No. 4 in the world, has decided to put to test his excellent form (winner in Dubai, runner-up in Indian Wells) at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, the first major European clay tournament.

Amongst others he will be competing against Rafael Nadal (N°1), Novak Djokovic (N°2), his fellow countrymanStanislas Wawrinka (N°3), David Ferrer (N°5) and Tomas Berdych (N°6), along with all the best French players, with at the top, Richard Gasquet (N°9), Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (N°11) and Gaël Monfils (N°24)recently qualified last weekend for the semi-finals of the Davis Cup.

The Draw will be organized for the first time in the Salle Garnier of the Monte-Carlo Opera House, on Saturday 12th April at 12.00 pm. To be added to this list are the 7 players from the qualifiers, as well as the remaining 3 Wild Cards, making a total of 56 players.
