Kim Clijsters: 'I'm happy to be able to play again this weekend.'

"Bethanie Mattek-Sands is a player who really excels in the unique group atmosphere of the Fed Cup", Kim said at a press conference in the Antwerp Sportpaleis, where on Saturday and Sunday the clash between the US and Belgium will take place. "Last month she won the Hopman Cup, with America. And don't underestimate Melanie Oudin either. She has beaten quite some top players already."

Woudl it be easy on Kim to switch from the Australian Open to the Fed Cup? "Actually, yes, easier than I though it would be. The last couple of days were pretty hectic though: not much sleep, back to school for Jada, unpacking, packing,... But it is good to be back home and I'm happy that I'll be able to play again this weekend already. On Sunday evening I'll immediately continue and will travel from Antwerp to Paris, where the WTA tournament starts on Monday."
