HUGO BOSS GIVES RAFA'S FOUNDATION A PRESENT AS MADRID PREPARES FOR A SPECIAL CEREMONY

Rafa Nadal took some time off from training yesterday to attend to a Hugo Boss event held especially for the number one champion.

The famous line of clothing presented Rafael with a signed check for 20.8114 euros as a humanitarian gesture for his precious Rafa Nadal Foundation.

The foundation was unveiled early this year in February and it’s main objective is to help kids with disabilities and youth in third world countries.    

Thanks to all the support from firms like Hugo Boss, now the foundation has started to take off and has more money to help develop future projects – some of them are taking a while to get under way due to his busy schedule as Rafa explained.

"I don’t have much time at the moment and mum is the one working on it on my behalf. It’s taken us a while to get started to be honest” said Rafa.

This was something that the Nadal-Parera family took into consideration before but still wanted to do it was because it was a long-term commitment that Rafa wanted to be part of. It is really important for him to invest some of his time giving back to the people that need it most.

“The amount of money donated by Hugo Boss was earned through the sale of their clothes which had a certain percentage of the price of each item going away for Rafa’s foundation’ explained the Prince of Asturias of Sports 2008. 

Rafa also talked about a recent agreement made in New York in which he intends to become the ambassador of the ‘Best Buddies’ organization through his foundation, however, ‘there is still a lot to talk about’ he finalized.
