Well, she walked out in the cutest little Nike polkadot shirt and gray short workout shorts. She was glowing, NOT sweating and looked the picture of health and may I say she is 100 times MORE beautiful in person than in her pictures. This is the true!

I held out the gift and she stopped, surprised and wondering why she deserved it "For me?!" We had some 'splaining to do as Ricky Ricardo would say! Trying not to babble like psycho ward escapees, we told her we were big fans of her boyfriend and we admired her. All the time she was looking at us, smiling, and has the cutest dimples. Her face just lights up when she smiles and she's cute as a button. Her demeanor is extremely polite and gracious and she seemed very pleased to be singled out for this gift. We told her it was 'just a t-shirt' and we talked to her about 3-5 minutes. Luckily all other stragglers had left and we were there alone to chat. Her English is good, she asked us if we were on holiday. She said she returns to school in October. We gushed about how much we admire Rafa and how he is a great role model and sportsman. All the time she's smiling and just glowing and can't believe that anybody would be interested in her or even know who she was. We asked if she had seen Rafa practice today and she said no, she'd spent some time at the pool. We told her where we were from and that we had attended other tournaments as fans and we introduced ourselves with our first names and she shook our hands. We then asked if a photo would be possible and she said of course and here it is!

Having met Xisca, I am so proud that Rafa has her as the girl in his life. She is a charming, poised, polite and lovely girl who would make any mother proud. Rafa could not have chosen a better half.
