Becker nije, jer on nije nikad dobio turnir na pijesku.
Stich?....hm..
With the victory, Karlovic joins ATP World No. 1 Roger Federer as
the only two players to win at least one title on three different
surfaces in 2007 (Houston – clay, Nottingham – grass, Stockholm –
indoor hard-court).
He is also just one of six players
(Juan Monaco, David Ferrer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger
Federer) to have won at least three ATP titles this season.
Karlovic
has hit 1,135 aces so far this year, the third-highest tally in ATP
history; his compatriot Goran Ivanisevic holds the No. 1 (1,477 in
1996) and No. 2 (1,169 in 1994) records.
At a
career-high No. 25 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings, Karlovic
was contesting his fifth career ATP final and has a 3-2 record.
He
won his first two ATP singles titles at Houston (d. Zabaleta) and
Nottingham (d. Clement) earlier in the season. He now improves to 37-18
for 2007.
