Juventus eyes another Bulgarian striker Tsvetan Genkov, 08:23, October 26, 2006
After having bought brilliant Bulgarian striker Valeri Bozhinov, Italy's Juventus is eyeing on another Bulgarian who plays that position, revealed sportal.bg on Wednesday.
Juventus scouts have spent the past week evaluating the skills of Tsvetan Genkov, who at moment plays for Lokomotiv Sofia.
They witnessed two games from the local championship - the one
against Rilski Sportist in which Genkov's team won 3:2 and the one
against CSKA that ended in a 1-1 tie.
Genkov's compatriot Valeri Bozhinov also confirmed the
source."Aleccio Seco has enquired me many times for Tsetso(Tsvetan)",
said Bozhinov, "they showed big interests on him".
Tsvetan Genkov was born on Feb. 2, 1984 in Mezdra, west
Bulgaria. His many brilliant matches since 2004 in the Bulgarian
championship, have won the interest of other teams too. Roma, Werder
Bremen and Dutch Feyenoord are just some of the teams that have sent
scouts to Bulgaria, inspired by the 22-year-old striker.
