Smatrajte glupim koliko hoćete ali kada imaš zemlju kojoj je izvoz energenata gotovo 50% BDP-a a praktički pola izvoza im je prema Europi i onda odjenom u susjednoj zemlji imaš ogrome količine plina škriljavca, ta zemlja je ujedno jedna od rijetkih u kojoj je legalno ekstrahirati takav plin i ta zemlja na godišnjoj bazi u milijardama naplaćuje ovoj prvoj prijevoz ruskog plina do eurupe...dolazi se do zanimljive situacije.
Yuzivska is believed to contain up to four trillion cubic meters of shale gas, according to the Ukrainian government. To tap this, energy giant Shell signed a production sharing agreement in January 2013, opening way for a potential $10 billion investment in the field. In an optimistic scenario before the armed conflict, Yuzivska alone was supposed to produce up to 20 billion cubic meters of gas annually - Rusija Europi godišnje isporuči oko 80 mld kubika, Shell bi samo u jednom djelu jedne regije proizvodio oko 20 mld kubika.
“The second oil and gas region is located in the west of the country, close to the Ukrainian western border. In terms of unconventional gas potential – according to some national estimates – I would say that about 60-70% of the reserves are located in the east of the country – in the Donetsk-Dnipro basin, as it is called. In other words, the major areas of unconventional oil and gas potential are located close to the war zone in the east and, specifically, the Yuzivska licence area, which Shell had planned to develop, is located in that region. That was to reason Shell decided to postpone the work on the project, and to declare force majeure”, he said in an interview.
When Russia seized Crimea in March, it acquired not just the Crimean landmass but also a maritime zone more than three times its size with the rights to underwater resources potentially worth trillions of dollars.
Russia portrayed the takeover as reclamation of its rightful territory, drawing no attention to the oil and gas rush that had recently been heating up in the Black Sea. But the move also extended Russia’s maritime boundaries, quietly giving Russia dominion over vast oil and gas reserves while dealing a crippling blow to Ukraine’s hopes for energy independence.
Da se ovo sve od 2014 naovamo nije dogodilo, Ukrajina je mogla preuzeti jako velik dio ruskog kolača isporuke energenata europi. Automatski je to Rusiji pad BDP-a za 20-30%, da se ne spominje gubitak moći i utjecaja koji dolazi sa europskom ovisnošću o ruskom plinu.
Ovo sve ne računajući rezerve drugih fosilnih goriva oko obale Krima.
