The King, the greatest player of this generation, consistently complains about not getting enough foul calls. While some may call him a cry baby, he has a legitimate argument. Most replays show video evidence that fouls were committed and that LBJ should have indeed gone to the free throw line. LeBron is hacked, pushed and pulled almost every time he heads to the basket. The refs, unfortunately, swallow their whistles an egregious amount of times.
Currently, LeBron is 9th in the league at 7.3 free throw attempts with 5.3 makes, thus putting him at 73%. So you’re thinking, “9th place? That’s not so bad, right?”, Houston’s SF James Harden leads the league with 11.1 attempts, 9.6 makes. Others are ahead of James such as PF DeMarcus Cousins (9.4), Russell Westbrook (7.6) and even youngster Andrew Wiggins (7.6).
The reason why LeBron doesn’t get these calls is because he’s TOO strong. In this regard, it’s a bad trait, but on all other aspects of the game, it’s great (as we all already know). The hits he takes don’t show to the naked eye, because of how strong he is. He absorbs contact like no other player in the league.
Pun youtube toga.
